Virtual Online Meeting!
June 4th
The All Wealth-Building,
All Tax-Saving Meeting…
The only thing better than building wealth through real estate is KEEPING it…and that’s what this meeting is ALL about. From end to end, you’ll learn how to save or defer taxes so that you can use the money you’d usually give away to the government for MORE wealth-building, more income, and more ability to give away your money as YOU see fit…
Don’t forget that you have to register below to get a link to join us on June 4th…and here’s the agenda:
5:00-6:00 Ask the Expert Zoom Rooms (members only, requires separate registration HERE )

6:00-7:00 Early Workshop
The Pros and Cons of Investing in “Opportunity Zones” with Chris Knoppe
OPHP 1 hour Federal Regulations
One of the investments that our members are most suited to—but understand the least about—is the “Opportunity Zone” (OZ) properties that potentially create big cash flow AND big tax breaks. For many of us, they’re the same properties we’re already buying for income, but NOT getting the full tax benefits of.
Chris Knoppe has been running an opportunity zone “fund” for over a year now, so he’s learned a lot about the ins and outs of the requirements, paperwork, and rules…and he’ll share the lessons he’s learned along with the benefits of using this program, like
Chris Knoppe
- Why Opportunity Zones were created and why they are so powerful both in getting private investment into much-needed affordable housing, and in getting the people who know how to do that big tax breaks
- How (and what) to invest in Opportunity Zones--hey, it’s the government, so as you can guess, it’s not as easy as just buy and rehab a house
- Investment rules for Opportunity Zones—You REALLY need to hear these before you so much as make an offer on a property
- How to create your own Opportunity Zone fund (or invest in someone else’s fund)
- Tax Reporting rules for Opportunity Zones
Chris Knoppe is a former business consultant who became a full time real estate investor in 2007. Over the past 13 years owned and managed rentals, bought and rehabbed hundreds of houses managed a $5 million dollar hard money lending business, and most recently harnessed the amazing benefits of Opportunity Zone investing. He’s President of CBUS OZ FUNDS which manages Qualified Opportunity Zone Funds that purchase & renovate housing in the urban neighborhoods surrounding downtown Columbus.

How (and Why) to Invest in Real Estate in Your IRA (or someone else’s) with Kent Kinzer
OPHP: 1.5 Hours taxes
In our opinion, EVERY real estate entrepreneur needs to be familiar with how to use self-directed tax-deferred plans—IRAs, 401Ks, even Health Savings Accounts and Coverdale Education Savings Accounts—to purchase real estate, notes, and other investments.
Why? Because there are HUNDREDS OF BILLIONS of dollars locked up in these plans, earning pitiful returns for their owners, and waiting for someone like you to come up with a way to invest it more profitably.
Whether it’s YOUR retirement plan that could be doing real estate deals without paying taxes on them, or you have friends who should be investing in YOUR deals, you can’t make this huge funding source work for you unless you understand HOW it works.
And heaven knows there’s a lot of BAD info out there on the internet about what you can and can’t do, so we’ve just gone ahead and hired one of the top experts in the county to share:
- Which accounts (Roth IRAs, traditional IRAs, SEPs, SIMPLE plans, CESAs, HSAs) can be used to do a Self-Directed IRA investment
- Which are “tax deferred” and which are “tax free”
- How you can partner accounts together to do a joint investment that you couldn’t do on your own—even with family members
- How to grow YOUR plan faster by being an equity partner instead of just a “private lender”
- How you can get started on a really wealthy retirement, even if you don’t have a bunch of money to contribute to your retirement plan right now
Kent Kinzer is the Business Development Senior Manager for Equity Trust Company, and because he’s had years of experience working with self-directed IRA investors, he teaches a lot of the lesser known aspects of IRA investment techniques. We’re thrilled to have him here to educate us and answer all those pesky questions about these powerful plans
Plus, we’ve brought back live (via Zoom) buy-sell-trade for members on Friday morning the 5th at 9 am!
