It’s SHARK WEEK at REIAGC!
REIA of Greater Cincinnati is the region’s largest, longest-running, and most respected community of real estate entrepreneurs partly because of the up-to-the-minute local education, and partly because members know that it provides tons of opportunities to DO BUSINESS.
At our May 20th meeting, you’ll see exactly what we mean by “Do Business”….
Because we’re bringing conversations that usually happen one-on-one right out onto the (Zoom) stage, so you can see how people with deals pitch them to money people, and how experienced lenders and buyers evaluate and decide to lend, buy, partner, or otherwise FUND DEALS.

The Goldfish Bowl: An Introduction to the Types of Financing You’ll Hear Offered Tonight. If you’re new-ish to the world of “private money”, join in at 6 p.m. for this primer that explains the different deal “structures” that you might see offered by the “sharks” at 7:30. We’ll talk about hard money loans, private loans, participation loans, partnerships, and options, and explain the pros and cons of each.

Just when you thought it was safe to go into the meeting room, it’s time for your favorite meeting of the year: Real Estate Shark Tank!
Our panel of “Sharks” are folks who have the money and expertise to fund, partner on, or advise you about deals; they’re looking for opportunities to make some money alongside with members who have deals that need funding.
The only catch is, you have to be brave enough to speak up and tell them why they should!
And even if you don’t have a deal to bring to the table, you can learn a lot about how money people look at investments and about how members find money for deals just by being in the audience.
It’s educational, sometime hilarious, and always enlightening.
If you have a deal—a rehab, rental, note, AirBnB, whatever—that you’d like to present for funding, and you’re willing to help demonstrate to an excited audience of members and a hungry group of sharks, do this:
- Make sure you’re a member of REIAGC; you must be one to present a deal. If not, you can become one HERE.
- Send an email to askvena@gmail.com with your name, number, and details of the deal you’d like to get funded NO LATER THAN NOON ON MAY 19th
- If your deal is chosen (we’re looking for a variety of different deal types, for the educational value!) we’ll let you know send you tips on how to present your deal for the best chance of getting it funded!
- Note that you MUST be available to present your deal live on Zoom between 7:30 and 9 p.m. eastern time on May 20th!
