7:30 p.m. How Foreclosure Auctions work in Ohio with Sgt. Rick Snow, Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office
With the drastic increase in foreclosures, we’re looking at opportunities to buy properties at the “Sheriff’s Sale”—aka the foreclosure auction—again.
Sgt. Rick Snow from the Hamilton County Sheriff’s office will share how the foreclosure auctions in Ohio work:
- What you need to do ahead of timein order to bid at the sale
- How to find out what’s coming up on the auction block, and what research you can and can’t do on those properties
- Why there’s a minimum bid
- Why some sales happen online and some on the courthouse steps
- When and how you have to pay for the property
- When you get possession of the property
- Whether the bids are “assignable”,
- What happens if the property turns out to be a total wreck not worth what you bid, or has a title problem after you bought it
- and the pros and cons of buying properties there.
This is a truly unique chance to find out everything you want to know about this stage of the foreclosure process from a true insider.
