November 21st:
Get What You Want Night
(plus how to save on taxes & work with other investors)
Why do so many people—mostly volunteers—work so hard to grow and nurture our community of over 900 local real estate entrepreneurs?
It’s because all those like-minded colleagues provide:
- Local expertise that we can all learn from
- Tons of connections to contractors, service providers, suppliers, and other folks who can help us all build our businesses
- Personal resources, ranging from knowledge to money to credit to time to skills, what we can trade for what WE have to get what we want
At our November 21st meeting, we’re giving you the chance to share what YOU have, and what you need from others, plus offering up 2 of our experienced members as experts at our 6:00 early workshops.

Main Meeting 7:30-9:00 pm
Use what you have to get what you want
No matter what your level of investing experience and knowledge, you can make a list of things you need to get to the next level.
Maybe it’s more money, or more deals; maybe it’s a coach, or someone who can take some of the day to day work of marketing, or answering calls, or getting your Facebook page set up off your plate.
So we’re gonna help you out on November 21st by showing you what you have to offer (it’s SOMETHING, even if you’re really super-new) and how to use it to get what’s missing in your real estate business—and then give you the chance to actually GET what you need, via a 75 minute “Haves and Wants” session.
You’ll get instructions on exactly how to effectively make the contacts you’re looking for, whatever they are, and then you’ll get to try it out for yourself.
If you attended the OREIA convention, you already know how incredibly powerful and connection-building this session is, so make sure you attend.
What you need is yours for the asking, we promise.
Early Workshops 6-7 p.m.
For new investors:
How to Work with Other Investors Ethically, Efficiently, and Profitably with Vena Jones-Cox.
If you’re new to real estate, you might be wondering how to find and work with partners, lenders, mentors, and other investors without getting ripped off, led on, or disheartened.
At this session for new investors, we’ll discuss:
- Why you’ll get a lot richer a lot quicker if you subscribe to the ‘pie is infinitely large’ theory of real estate investing
- How to get an “in” with any investor you want, even if you’re brand-new and they’re hyper-experienced
- What’s ‘fair’ to ask in terms of money, time, percentage of a deal, etc. for YOUR efforts
- How to avoid, or get out of, ventures that aren’t working out by planning them right to start with
- How to know when you’re being taken advantage of, vs. when you’re expecting too much
